Karen L. Hildreth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the Executive Director of Sarasota Grief Counseling.
Specializing in grief, loss, and trauma therapy for individuals and their families, Karen practices from a psychodynamic orientation. She intentionally incorporates the tools of other disciplines to promote change in her clients by helping them develop greater awareness and make more self-actualized choices in their lives. She holds a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Florida State University. Karen is also a State of Florida Quality-Assured Counselor Supervisor and is dedicated to helping counseling interns define their individual professional identities and gain the experience needed to thrive as Licensed Mental Health Counselors.
A native Floridian who has lived in Sarasota for more than 25 years, Karen has deep roots in the community and understands its needs and nuances. In her free time she enjoys cooking, quilting, kayaking, and gardening.
